2021 B Cellars Ehrlich Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Winemaker’s Notes:  This vineyard has become a B Cellars standard, consistently offering a savory, rich, and dark Oakville fruit profile. A rich, tannic, substantial wine, exhibiting the best of the Oakville region. Blackberry, ripe plum, black olive, cassis, and baking spice combined with an unctuous and broad palate lingering into a long, savory finish.

2016 B Cellars Ehrlich Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, (97+ points): The deep purple-black colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Ehrlich Vineyard has a show-stopping nose of intense kirsch, black cherries, cassis and violets scents with touches of unsmoked cigars, wild sage, cast iron pan and lavender. Full-bodied, super concentrated and wonderfully decadent in the mouth, it has a firm yet plush frame and layer upon layer of perfumed black fruit lingering long into the finish.

2015 B Cellars Ehrlich Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, (95 points):  Deep purple-black in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Ehrlich Vineyard has an intense crème de cassis, plum preserves and blackberry pie-scented nose with hints of Indian spices, hoisin, black truffles and loam. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it sports a ripe, fine-grained frame of tannins along with lovely freshness and great length.

2014 B Cellars Ehrlich Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, (96 points): The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Ehrlich Vineyard is from another spot in Oakville. The production of this wine is 750 cases of unfined and unfiltered Cabernet Sauvignon. B Cellars is starting to get my attention and is one of the more exciting and newer producers in Napa Valley, and although they’ve been at it for a while, I have never tasted wines of this quality from them. This is spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon that offers up cedar wood, blackcurrants, blueberry, incense and graphite. It is full-bodied, powerful and rich, but with sweet tannin and the 2014 hallmark of suppleness and charm. Quite deep, opulent and stunningly rich, drink it over the next 20 years.

2013 B Cellars Ehrlich Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, (96 points):  Another big-time winner from B Cellars is their 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Ehrlich Vineyard in Oakville. This is a stunner and one of his bigger cuvées of 540 cases. No wimpy wine at 14.9% alcohol, but it’s stacked with black fruits, licorice, charcoal, a touch of graphite and flowers. This is full-bodied, opulent and a total hedonistic and intellectual turn-on. This wine should drink well for another 25-30 years, which is why this vintage is so special and certainly the best one I’ve ever tasted in 37 years’ experience in Napa.
